What We Believe

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He was crucified, died, and was buried for the sin of the world that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.  On the third day, He rose from the dead and later ascended into heaven where He remains at the right hand of God Almighty (John3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Mark 14:62)
  • The Bible, is the word of God, and was given to man and woman, and written under the inspiration of God Almighty the only true and living God. (2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Peter 1:19-21)
  • Divine healing comes by the finished work of Jesus Christ and is for the body, soul and mind by the stripes of the Lord Jesus Christ.     (Isaiah 53:4; 1 Peter 2:24)
  • Repentance of sin for the forgiveness, the immersion of water baptism in the Name of Jesus and the receiving of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit of God gives you to speak, that there is salvation for the lost.   (Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10)
  • The church is the assembly of people –the body of Christ with like faith in the grace and truth which came through Jesus Christ, who fellowship to fulfill the great commission to teach, preach and witness the salvation and deliverance through the acceptance and guidance of the Holy Spirit.  (Hebrew 10:25; Mark 14:15-16; Acts 1:8)
  • Sanctification.  The scriptures teach a life of holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.  By the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to obey the command, “Be holy, for I am holy.”  Sanctification is the will of God for all believers, and is to be pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Holy Spirit.  (1Peter 1:15-16; Romans 12:, 8:1-2)
  • Marriage is the institution ordained by God, that joins together a man and woman under the teaching of the Bible, that it is God’s will for man and woman as husband and wife to be fruitful and multiply; that as God loves the church, so should the husband love his wife and the wife honors her husband as unto the Lord.   (Genesis 1:27-28; I Corinthians 7:2; Ephesians 5:22, 25, 33)
  • Keeping the sacrament – Holy Communion is the expressed will of Jesus that often as we keep this Lord’s Supper we remember His death and resurrection.  (Luke 22:19-20; Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 11:24-26)
  • After death eternal life begins either in heaven or hell; where you spend eternity is based on your decision to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior.   (Revelation 20:15, 22:11-14)
  • The Rapture of the church – people of God; that when it occurs the dead in Christ will rise first and then those who are alive and remain (those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior) will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.  And, those who have not will live eternally in hell.  (Matthew 24:31-46; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Revelation 20:11-15)
